DJ ICON
Without doubt, DJ ICON has become an iconic figure in the U.S. dance music industry and beyond. With a career spanning well over a decade, she has captivated audiences the world over with her enthralling DJ sets, magnetic stage presence, and massive bass-heavy blend of Breaks, Electro House and Dubstep. It’s no wonder as to why she’s been dubbed one of the leading ladies of Breakbeat. Starting in 1996 at age 16, ICON diligently rose through the ranks of the San Francisco underground at a time when female DJs and promoters were few. In just a few years, her skills and growing reputation had already landed her numerous residencies in San Francisco, as well as a steady flow of multi-national bookings. ICON has also gained success in radio and television in addition to rocking dancefloors worldwide. Among her accolades is a spot in Shejay’s “Top 100 Female DJs” and being voted one of San Francisco’s best in the Nitevibe “Top 10 DJ Dreamteam” Poll.
DJ Keys
DJ Keys plays the keys and spin tracks to match. She Composes all her own pieces as well as improvises live. Her goal is to bind together the two loves in her life; piano and electronic music. With her live performance on the keys using synths or acoustic piano sounds while mixing massive beats on the decks, DJ Keys brings the music to a whole new level. Go Live or die.
Jana D
Jana D grew up in a little suburb town called Vacaville, CA where at just a couple years old, began her music career playing the piano. Her mother was a music teacher, hard of hearing and could not hear some of the notes she played, but felt the vibrations of each note played, and was over dedicated to showing Jana D the ways of music as early as possible. From there, she picked up violin, after playing piano for 5 years, and began more classical training with the clarinet, flute, cello, and viola. She remained first chair violin throughout school and continued with classical music. After hearing a few songs by artists “fatboy slim” and “the chemical brothers” and fell in love with what we call BIG BEAT eletronica. I also looked up more about fatboy slim, and from there fell in love with the concept, and art of DJing, and went out and got my first pair of turntables. After about three months of hard work behind the decks,I got asked to play for my very first show In Oakland ca. Ever since my first gig, I have been growing as a local California dj, soon to go Nationwide Playing genres such as Techno, House, and Progressive breaks. whips, chains.furry handcuffs, cages, leather, music, poison.
